Rachel’s Booking Process and Details

There is a lot of information on this page! Please read through all of the following information before sending a booking request so that as many of your questions as possible will be answered! *magic wand pixie dust sparkles* I really appreciate you taking the time!

Getting Started

I custom draw every piece that I tattoo, which means that your art will be completely unique and special, just for you! Due to the custom nature of my work, when explaining what you would like to get tattooed, include as much detail as you possibly can about what you are envisioning for your design. If you want something very specific, you must be specific in your description.

If you would like me to take more creative liberty on a general idea, that’s great! The more flexible you are and the more creativity you allow me to have, the result will almost always be a better tattoo.

Please don’t ask me to tattoo someone else’s tattoo or artwork without explicit permission from the original artist and/or their client.

I am happy to look at photo references for your tattoo, just remember that I will not directly copy or even make minimal changes to someone else’s tattoo (without their permission). If you want me to tattoo someone else’s artwork or tattoo design, I will require seeing permission from the artist. I will also require seeing a fully finished drawing before I can agree to do the tattoo for you. If the design needs a linework-version that I will need to have for stenciling, or if the design needs to be altered to be “tattooable,” I will require a drawing fee.

**If you fall in love with someone else’s tattoo/tattoo design, the best thing to do is get tattooed by that original artist, not me. You will not get as good of a tattoo from someone who is not the original artist.

Availability

Wednesday-Saturday 10am-4pm (start times) [generally]

I only book in three-month blocks. My Instagram will tell you which months I am currently booking. Last-minute availability will always be posted on my stories and is first-come-first-serve. I do not keep a waitlist. I can only tattoo 4 hours maximum per session because my shoulders will explode.

Pricing

Shop minimum- $125

One-shot, one session pieces- Priced by the piece.

Large, multi-session pieces- $185/hour (I cannot tattoo longer than 4 hours per session, my hands will fall off)

Drawing fee- $50 (covers up to one round of changes, excluding very minimal subtractions). This fee pays for the time that it takes to draw up the design and does not come out of the final cost of the tattoo. The first round of revisions are free, any alterations (outside of subtractions) will require a $50 revision fee, and so on.

Non-refundable appointment deposit- $50 (not needed if a drawing fee is being paid) This fee does come out of the final cost of the tattoo. This deposit is non-refundable.

Payment

Both deposits and drawing fees are payable over Venmo or PayPal and are due at scheduling with me. I only need one or the other!

Payment for the tattoo itself can be made with cash, card, or Venmo.

The Process

After we book an appointment date and the drawing fee or deposit is paid for, then I can begin working on your drawing. The drawing fee or deposit is due within 48 hours of scheduling your appointment unless otherwise discussed with me. You may lose your appointment spot.

You can expect a drawing 1-2 weeks from when the drawing fee is paid.

You are more than welcome to request as many alterations as you want. The drawing fee covers up to one round of changes. Any further changes after that will require a $50 revision fee, which will cover another round of alterations, and so on.

Then, once the drawing has been approved by you, we are all set for tattoo time!

The Process in a Nutshell

Step One: Fill out the booking form

Step Two: We discuss the details about the design

Step Three: A tattoo date is scheduled, and a drawing fee/deposit is paid via Venmo (due within 48 hours of scheduling)

Step Four: A linework drawing will be sent via email for your approval. (Revisions and the fees associated are laid out in the previous section.)

Step Five: You can expect a drawing 1-2 weeks from when the drawing fee is paid

Step Five: Wait for tattoo day!

Cancellation/Rescheduling/Late Policy

If you would like to cancel your appointment, you are welcome to do so at any time. The last thing that I want is to give you a tattoo that you don’t want! I will require a $50 deposit for the new appointment date if you reschedule within 1 week of your appointment. Please don’t come in sick!!

If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will be charged a $30 late fee on top of the price of the tattoo.

Additional Notes

I do not do white-ink-only or UV ink tattoos (we don’t even have UV ink in the shop).

I only tattoo those who are over the age of 18, and you must have your driver’s license, government-issued ID, or passport present at the appointment.

I do not tattoo matching couple’s tattoos/names or tattoos explicitly for a romantic partner. I am okay tattooing matching friend/blood-family designs, though!

I am generally uncomfortable doing any sort of Christianity tattoo. There are lots of Christian tattooers, I am just not one of them.

Things that I LOVE to tattoo: antlers, bones, goddesses/warrior women, animal skulls, runes, Norse mythology, moons, fae/fae-related, and butterflies/moths/beetles.

Styles that I LOVE to tattoo: fine line, black and grey, illustrative, neotraditional.

Whew, that was a lot of information! Let me know if you have any questions, and I am so excited to work with you!
