Rachel opened Shield Maiden Tattoo in the lovely Longmont, Colorado back in May of 2022. She had a vision of a tattoo shop with big windows, lots of light, plants, and gold accents. Now, we have grown to have 3 resident artists, 1 apprentice, and 1 permanent guest-spot booth.

Shield Maiden is full of artwork, rainbows, music, and little touches of fairy magic. We are completely women/queen-owned-and-run, and work with lots of folks that have had bad experiences either in the tattoo industry in the past, or have existed in a world where their body is marginalized. Consent is key (for both our clients and ourselves), and we are very careful to make sure that our clients are as comfortable and safe as they can be during the whole tattoo process.
